Ron wasn't around yet when these were used. And that reflecting pool is no longer there.

By 2005 cellphones were already quite popular. At this point they were just phones. The first smart phone came along in 2007. That’s why you didn’t see people glued to the phone.

I wonder how many people are glued to their phone right now reading your comment about being glued to a phone?

At least we had digital cameras to record the event!

One or two of the banners belonged to members as I recall. I don't remember who had them.

Just a note on cell phones. My wife has a smart phone, blue tooth car connection to her Acura. Verizon nearly faints when I show them my flip phone. 2004 model, same color merlot as the car......a matching oldster trio.....my car, my phone and me. Ever notice anybody under 60 driving a retro bird?

I'm under 60 and proudly driving a retro TBird and I believe one of our member's college age son drives one as well. Although there are a lot of young people that yell "Nice car...what is it?"... guess they can't read the script Thunderbird. A fall out from dropping cursive in our schools. I'm not kidding, some high school age kids can barely complete their signatures without really concentrating. Sorry...off topic.
