  • Our T-Byrds at cars shows, cruise ins

Just thought is would be nice to see our Thunderbirds as we display them at the various car shows and cruise ins that we all participate in on the weekends of the spring, summer, and fall.

I do it duration the season by taking out Whisper White to shows, in fact last show a couple of weeks ago someone was truly interested in purchasing it from me. But I cannot sell my baby.
Honor the sacrifices our predecessors paid for our country.

Those of us in Latest Activity mode can't see Ron's picture. (sure wish the software would not allow pictures as attachments or it would show the attachments in both modes).

          Nice line up Ron!

Fill me in, looks like a Cyclone convertible and a Ranchero but a Mercury front clip.

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!

A 1969 Ranchero, a 1969 Montego convertible that has been changed to a Cyclone Spoiler, and a 1968 Ranchero.

Problem is many car shows have age restrictions that disqualify Retros. E.g. "1994 and older." Typically minimum 25 years old is the cutoff around these parts.

Not so around here. Half the cars shown are Challengers or Mustangs less than five years old. Gets pretty monotonous. All the Challengers look alike except for color, while amazingly no two Mustangs have the same grilles.
It's a generational thing; surprisingly for Florida.

Our Sunset Crusiers have a "cruise-in" the first Saturday of each month from April thru October in the downtown section of the city (about 8 blocks). Each month is designated for a different group; ie ford, dodge, chevrolet, etc. Last weekend was our largest ever with over 400 vehicles.
