Where to Repair in Seattle/Tacoma area

Yellow (amber) Engine light is aglow.

Any recommendations on where to go?

We will travel for a good mechanic in Tacoma, Seattle, Wenatchee, Spokane.

Go first to any better parts store and have them scan the car. It is free. That will tell you what the problem is, which may very easily be solved. For instance a low fluid level.

I have used Steve's Automotive Center, South Spruce Street, Burlington, WA, with good luck

My go-to is in Ballard, Taskar Garage. I'd recommend him mainly for actual repairs though, not necessarily diagnosis. Owner loves these birds, he did 8 spark plugs, 8 COPs, and valve cover gaskets for $400.
