Made a visit to my local tire shop and while waiting on service I found this magazine. Asked if I could have it, manager said sure. Some nice photos and story about early Thunderbirds in one collection.

Very cool...would love to have a '55 restored by Minter (sometimes I visit his website just to drool). Congrats on a great find.

As a boy, I fell in love with the '55 when it was introduced by Ford in '54 - sadly, I couldn't talk my dad into buying one as a family car.

In 1958 a local Auto Repair shop that did hemi tuneups tuned my 1954 New Yorker Deluxe and while I waited let me drive his 1956 Thunderbird. It was White, top down and had a 3 speed with overdrive. 312, 4 Barrel sexy sounds from the dual exhaust. I was in love with that car! In 2006 I got my 2005, not a '56 but something I could drive anywhere and I did! In 2017, It passed 104,000 miles and now I'm on number 2 a 2004 TR!
