I am the original owner of a 2004 TBird. I've had all 8 of the coils replaced by my dealer, the last one in Dec 2017. My baby has 40,000 miles on it and has had a oil change every 1,000-1.500 miles. Yesterday, after being out on the highway for a 20 minute ride, the engine started running rough. UGGG! Have any of you had issues with replacement coils?

If its a 2002 you may get surprised, when I torqued mine I got 1/2 turn on some of the bolts and significantly more on a couple - it did make a "seat of the pants" difference in how the car feels on the road. IIRC I ahd to move a plastic cover to get to some on the front brace. chassis_marked.jpg

What are the torque specs?

46 ft lbs of torque per bolt. no more. no less.
