  • 2002 Premium Red Black Interior parts

The lower (red) plastic panel under my steering column has been removed so often by previous owners the clips are all snapped off and the two holes where the push pins go at the lower edge are cracked apart. I've put double sided Velcro tape on to hold it in place for now. I haven't been able to find this part (in any color) anywhere to replace my damaged piece. Looked on eBay Thunderbird Specialties, etc.. Is there some other source I should be researching ??

Possibly Ford dealers have NOS parts still in inventory ? I can paint a replacement panel if I can find one in any color other than red...

Welcome to TBN, Frank. Someone here may know of a car being parted out. You could also check with salvage yards. Most now have the ability to search for parts in other yards by computer. A dealer is not likely but you have nothing to lose by having them do a search as well. Hope you find the part that you need.

Does this part cross-reference to an LS? You can check on line for Ford parts store - I've used Silver State Ford several times for odd parts.

That site lists the part but its "discontinued"; HOWEVER, its a very interesting web site with lots of parts still available for these cars, so thanks for the referral!

You're welcome. You might want to call them, reference the LS cross. They're generally pretty helpful.
