Took the’75 Big Bird out of mothballs and fired her up. Those 460 cubes purr like a kitten. Had a nice ride around town.

I developed a real liking for that era Tbird after driving that '76 around Europe for 4 weeks. The 460 is smooth, they float over bumps and look pretty cool to boot. They do love gss stations - you can't hardly go by one without it wanting to visit.

The other problem is my garage isn't deep enough or wide enough either for one to fit.

Pretty much sums it up. Not cheap to fill that 25 gallon tank.

Put the hard top on yesterday, just like getting a new car again.

Today we hung out with our Sooner Thunderbird Club friends from Oklahoma City along with TBN members Bill Green and Dave Egan. As you can tell, we didn't let a little liquid sunshine prevent us from having fun, fun, fun in northeastern Oklahoma.

To continue Paul's sightings: TODAY Nov. 3, we spent some time with Paul and Rosetta at Texas Motor Speedway (NASCAR racing).

First, we got to watch some Americanized, BullFighting and the fighting Clowns, where it's most likely the only one to get hurt is the cowboy clown. These are the cowboys who distract the bulls during a bull-riding event if the rider gets bucked off. Only this time there is no rider on the bulls, just the bull and the clown facing off. The goal with the "clown" is to stay close to the bull without getting tossed or having to climb the fence in a timed 40 second round. Both the bull and the clown are given points for how well they complete the tasks, the bull for how active & agile he is in trying to hit the clown or get him cornered. The clown tries to keep the bull in the center of the ring.

When that was over, we found our ways to our seats and got ready to watch the races. This time, instead of being too hot, it eventually got too cold so George & I left half way thru the race and went home to watch the last half in comfort. (btw, we drove our 05 to the races)

11-4-19 Palm Harbor, Fla, Jumped in the Redbird on way to Doc appt, with anticipation. Had doc appt, alls well! Drove home in Redbird now with top down! Felt wonderful, mainly because the 80 deg day and full sun plus the Bird ran great! What a great car, makes one feel terrific!

Put hardtop on the merlot, sure does change the appearance. Halloween night we had rain/snow mix and next week it is not supposed to get above freezing , seems cozier with the hardtop.

FRIDAY. Changed the calendars. Had our neighbor help us, as usual, put the hardtop on. Had one helluva struggle this time getting the lock-pins into their holes. After 10 years of this, you'd think we'd be pro's at it, but somehow we were not as smooth as usual. SATURDAY. Absolutely beautiful sunny day. Did yard work, garage clean-up, filled the bird feeders, drank a few beers. SUNDAY. Set all the clocks back one hour, a job that took me 65 minutes this year. Went to the Y to exercise, watched 60 Minutes & the first half of Patriots vs. Ravens. Tied 17-17 at halftime, at which point I went to bed & missed the biggest upset of this NFL season (so far, at least). That could have been the excitement I was looking for this weekend. ---Will
