I just bought a Panlong WiFi ODB2 reader for $20. Initial testing seems to be OK, but I don’t have any failed components to read codes, yet. I see that full access to data requires a monthly or annual fee, but as much as I need one, the economics works for me.

Well I connected the BlueDriver and ran a code scan. P0171 lean on bank one. Suggested repairs to start with the air box and check for any possible air leaks, found one hose off and reconnected it. Now it's time for a test drive and see if the code returns.

It looks like a nice day to take a drive down to watch my granddaughter play soccer, an hour and a half each way should be a geodesic test run.

Still looking for a stand-alone code reader. Yes Gene, I know that I am in the minority!

Well after a 300km quick trip to see the granddaughters no return of the check engine light. Reconnecting the hose seems to have corrected the problem, the retaining clip is missing though so I'll have to see how to keep it in place or replace the valve.

          Thanks for the help everyone.

Glad to see that the bluedriver works. $99 is too much for me and I started with zus.. got one from the free giveaway and works ok for me. Will consider upgrade to bluedriver as this zus one doesn't give fixing suggestions. It has interesting features though.. wanna try the car finder next time when I go to costco
