Too bad, when I got the Early Bird magazine that said there was going to be a vote I contacted CTCI too see how to vote. They said they would contact the members when it was time to vote. I was never contacted despite them having my mailing address, phone number and e-mail address. I guess one vote wouldn't have sent it over, but I also wonder how many other members they didn't contact when time to vote.

Thanks for your efforts, Ron. When you crunch the numbers, the measure only failed by 130 votes. Passage may very well happen in the future.
My personal feeling is that all types of organizations are declining in membership. People just seem too busy to attend meetings or commit the time. Even church attendance is down. Many now participate by streaming the service online.
As for TBN events, there always seems to be something in the works. Presently we have Minnesota and Sarasota planned for next year. Health problems keep us from attending almost anything.

Yes, my contact to CTCI was by e-mail, which they responded to successfully, so they certainly had that. Their response was they would send a paper ballot. Knowing this was coming up I kept looking for it but never got it (I am the one who brings in the mail so I know it wasn't discarded). So - I will have to keep an eye out for a future vote if it gets to be voted on again.
As others have said, thanks for you efforts with CTCI for this. If it comes up again I know I will support it.

Maybe in 2027 when the 2002 reaches the magic age of 25 and is classified as an Antique the remaining CTCI owners who have both "Baby Birds" and "ours" will relent and be inclusive. My main issue with the Baby Birds has been that as much as I like their look, unless I pay up and get one from Amos Minter, I can't with confidence enjoy it every day by driving it. Only one of the Tbirds he recently offered for sale had A/C, a must have here in Charleston. One other thing, how many baby birds would, or could be members of our 100,000 mile club? In the last two years I've driven my 29,000 mile TR another 10,000 miles. Probably won't get to 100,000 again, but who knows?sigpic

The Retro side was very quite and reserved with no threats and etc. I am sure the 39% side is shaking in their boots that it came so close to passing. The California and Texas groups got their way this time, but the writing is on the wall.
I do believe TBN needs to do more in the way of events. A few people have been carrying the load and there are lots of areas that have not been visited. Three places that come to mind are Boston, Charleston, and New Jersey/ New York.sigpic

Must have been hackers. Even if collusion or obstruction was involved, likely nothing would be done about it, since those in power seem to like things as they are.21 years, 174K miles, 48 States X 2 & DC, 9 Canadian provinces, 8 European countries, 3 Caribbean Islands, 3 Hawaiian Islands, 100+ National Park locations, 150+ T-bird events, 190+ retrobird diecasts/models, 13 TOTM pics & some very special friends...THANKS TBN !

Might be time for an event in LA.
On second thought, probably not.
