Has anybody with lots of miles and lots of parts replacement noticed that the car seems to be smoother than when it was new? It does sound crazy but the most recent repair I have had was with the replacement of everything between the radiator and the head. The car always had a problem with overheating and the fans running all the time and I had various things replaced over the years but when the car simply overheated and stopped the repair people said all that plastic with all the parts involved needed to be replaced. It cost more than $2000 but the car seems to be getting better. I have never kept a car over 50k miles and this one has about 125k. I don't drive it like I used to but it is still a daily driver. The guy who repaired the car said, "There was a hell of a lot of plastic in there.

I have had my white 02 Bird since new, and this last year I replaced the original tires, along with all the suspension parts
including the struts. All the suspension parts had bad ball joint boots, and many of the bushings were falling apart.
The car now rides like silk, and no squeaks, or knocks like before. The tires had a lot to do with it, but so did the
suspension parts, and struts.
I have never had any issues with the engine, or cops. AC compressor did leak, and was replaced.
