For background, there are two other things you might watch. The first is Grand Tour's James Mays presentation of GT40 and the second the 2016 documentary of Ford's Le Mans effort called "The 24 Hour War".

Looking forward to it! Loved that little test ride at the end of the trailer.

At 1:12 the guy on the small motorcycle could have been me. In 1962 I rode a little 1937 Harley WL 45 to work at Carroll Shelby's dealership in Dallas where the Cobra was invented and caught flak for it. Have to wait for the movie to see.

ETA: All the characters in the trailer including Ken Miles (but not The Deuce) came to Dallas to race at Green Valley and usually filtered through Shelby's shop, Cyd Czekaj's German Automotive and where I worked, Tom Johnson's Precision Motors/Performance Incorporated. If you looked out the front door of Precision Motors that was located at 5608 E Mockingbird Lane and could see two blocks away through the old Dr Pepper bottling plant and Shamburger Building Supply, you could look straight into the front door of Carroll Shelby Sports Cars at 5611 Yale Blvd (now SMU Blvd). Shelby's old dealership is now a Twisted Root Burger joint.

Saw the movie this evening at an IMAX theatre in Atlantic City. Enjoyed it.

I can't get past Matt Damon's politics enough to give him any of my money....
Another Hollywood wonk that thinks his wealth gives him some sort of political insight he doesn't actually possess.
