What does E mean

What does E mean. The dash lights that show what gear you are in often is replaced by E. The Bird continues to operate Normally, you just can’t see what gear you are in.. I’m 69 and my driving habits are quit normal for my age, no hot rod ding.

It means that you have a transmission problem that should be checked out.

Forgot to mention that I had this code when the car was nearly brand new. Dealer replaced a valve body on the transmission under warranty. No problem since then.

Had the same problem on my 05 and yes it was an error code with the transmission, I had to replace the solenoid pack in the transmission and that fixed the problem. Earl
