My ac compressor is not getting power from the relay. Any thoughts.

No power to compressor.
Did you mean you do not hear the compressor clutch kick in? Could be just a corroded connector to the AC clutch.
Did you check voltage on the clutch wire?

I guess someone needs to put gages on the AC to see if Freon is low. See post #2
With compressor not running AC psi should be about 60 in both high and low sides (60psi is normal if compressor has not run for 12 hours).

P.S. If you have Gauges you can check the high side yourself. It is the one easy to get at in upper engine compartment.
Low side is behind left front wheel. Since you have a lift, you might get at it somehow. If you need the front wheel removed then you may not be able to do it on your type of lift.

Not sure I understand that connection? I had to change my Dual Coolant Control Valve ( Motorcraft P/N YG-378) last year due to the a/c unit blowing hot air on the passenger side. But it did not effect the compressor operation. Could be another Thunderbird mystery. I bought the valve off amazon for $80.00. It is located under the hood on the passenger side, front lower side. It has three heater hoses and two electrical switch connectors attached to it. I think there is a thread on the forum with pictures and detailed instructions for changing it.

I had the same problem, but replacing the control valve worked.
Off topic (sorry), I was just reading about problems T-Birds (2002-05) are having with airbags malfunctions. Some owners complained that in an accident, the airbags didn't work, and others reported that the sensor light lit-up on the dashboard and that Ford does not make this part anymore. Is there a thread on this? I couldn't find it. Has anyone else heard of this or is aware of it?
Thanks!

Hi, Bill,
I was on www.carcomplaints.com I was actually searching to find out how many airbags our T-Birds have and where they are. When, as I should have guessed with the internet and google, somehow came across this complaint site. It seems one person was severely injured and many others complained about not being able to get the parts to fix their airbags once the airbag warning light illuminated on the dashboard. Hope this helps. I too had never heard about this before.
