  • Purple bird for sale

https://www.ebay.com/itm/264426693407?ul_noapp=true He must have close to the asking price in the paint job alone.

This is definitely one of a kind. It looks like a great paint job -I had no idea it would cost something like that. Whew!

If you look at the emissions information on the eBay listing, it meets California emissions. I'm willing to bet that car was sold by Galpin Ford. The dealership is well known for doing customizations and they offered "Galpinsized" Thunderbirds in a number of non-standard colors back when these were being built. Probably the most well known being the Dusk Rose version. The paint job on this purple Thunderbird is too good to be anything else in my opinion.

Maybe Harry can verify the origins of this Thunderbird and what dealership sold it in his database.

I'm sure that Harry can. If a Galpinized tbird, they did make one in purple that was at the first Desert Thunder in Las Vegas that Lon O'Connel and the Las Vegas Tbirds put on.

Too many miles for the price ??????? This likely won't be bought for a daily driver, Mileage is not near the yardstick it used to be. ( except for the novice maybe )

Says it is a Deluxe? See VIN #, does it look like it is a 2005?

Yes, too many miles for my money. For that price you can get one with 60,000 fewer miles in an original color. Only worth the premium price if you planned to buy one and paint it purple.

Definitely a re-paint. Look at he sticker inside the drivers door, you can see paint on the edges were it was masked.

It's a 2005, premium, originally a Medium Steel Blue, sold 10/10/2004 by Beverly Hills Ford. It was sold two days after it arrived at the dealer so not painted before it was sold.
