This is an unimportant subject but one that has bugged me for a number of years about the automatic settings for the car radio. We bought the Thunderbird new in 2004 and programmed the stations we wanted on the satellite radio. From time to time the stations would be jumbled up but if we waited it out, they would return to their original settings. Since 2004 we have bought three Acuras, all with satellite radios, 2005 RL, 2012 TSX and 2017 RDX. All three of them do exactly what the 2004 Thunderbird does, jumbling up the presets, moving them around but eventually returning to the original settings. I know it is not important but I wonder if anybody else has this same situation and, if so, an explanation for it. All I have been told is that it has to do with the modules. As one "expert" told me, "If you think its the board, its the board. If you think its not the board, its the board".

I have a late model Chrysler 300 with the UConnect and SiriusXM. On occasion I will see the radio display "Updating Station Information". Almost always after this, my satellite stations are in different preset positions then before the update. Maybe this is what you are experiencing? If so, it's more of a function of Sirius than your hardware.

Although I frequently get the Sirius UPDATING message I have never had the stations change positions on my factory installed Taurus radio. Maybe it's a retro-fitted radio issue? Have you called Sirius about the problem?
