  • Demobilizer/Alarm ?

Another day, another challenge to figure out.
Today I went to start the old bird, after I parked it for a couple of hours, initially seemed like I was lacking battery power (odd-always been fine up til now).
Eventually the engine turned over and after a few attempts started, but as soon as the engine came on, it died and the alarm (horn) came on. Im wondering if its a symptom of low battery or something else, any ideas?
I googled it and tried a few things, like using the key fob, then the door key to lock/unlock the doors, and finally got her home though some combination of those things.
Later I tried her again and same thing. Quite puzzling. Your suggestions most welcome!

I'm wondering if I accidentally left the interior lights on or something or other.

    Cheers, Smedley.

A bad battery will definitely cause the alarm to go off.

Had the same issue a while ago. I garage my baby and when hurricane Florence hit our area I left for higher ground. T-Bird was left behind in garage with alarm off. Was gone 3 weeks and when we got home we had a similar situation. Finally hooked up battery charger for about 6 hrs and all is well.

Interior lights will automatically go off after 10 or 15 minutes (can't remember which) if accidentally left on.
