Hardtop parcel shelf rattling

just got the hardtop back on. Parcel shelf rattles when going over a bump. Bloody annoying. Tried to Velcro it down but no luck so far. Ideas and suggestions welcome please. I’m thinking a roll of foam in between the shelf and the plastic seat back top. Surprised ford didn’t find a way to utilize the fastener buttons for the tonneau cover to secure it.

My question, Smedley, is are you sure it's the parcel shelf? Was the rattling from this shelf there when you had the soft top closed? If it didn't rattle for the soft top, you may actually being hearing the hardtop - perhaps an adjustment needs to be made instead. JMO

One of the year hartops came with 2 small rubber bumpers in the area you're talking about, I know this because I removed them thinking they were there for shipping

Did you pull the hardtop levers all the way forward?

Check that the 3 fasteners holding the shelf to the hardtop frame are tight. You can buy new ones if they have lost some grip.
