  • dropping my leaking gastank

    today i finally started to work on the gastank problem
    im having vacation for the rest of the year but did only had time for the car today.
    im going to London the 18:th december to drink some bubly beverage and do some christmas shopping with my friend that lives there
    to morrow im going to try new glases and after that im going on a jobinterview, so there will be no time for the car until after christmas
    here is some photos

    and i found a nice chrome list to cover some damages in the paint (there is cover plastic on the chrome at the pgoto)

    I Started out with nothing and I still got most of it left

    Hats off to you - are you going to replace both fuel pumps while you're in there ?
    I think I would...

    And I have that same chrome strip to cover some hardtop scratches on the paint; its subtle and does the job...

      i dont think i can change the pumps, its hard to get parts here must have them shiped from America.
      but i will check if i can get them here.

            got some time with the car yesterday
            dismounted the propeller chaft and tryed to get the couplings off in the lids behind the seats....
            i have no idea how to get them off my knuckes are bleading must read about that.
            but today i landed i n London There was some missunderstandig so my friend that i should visit are in Spain working but he Will be Home tomorrow in London. Luckely i picked up sparekeys from hes wife in Sweden to the apartment so got in

              that bcause i have manage to buy my dreamcar
              but in bad condition. must make it my self or else it is too expensive (and it is my hobby)
              i have too meny projects going on now

                      finaly i got the gastank out
                      the only thing that was really hard was the gas couplings in the lids behind the seats
                      must buy new ones because they are in tousend peaces now

                          and i did find the leak......
                          the gasket for the lid on top of the tank was inside the tank.
                          so when i have tryed to fill the tank only one half has bin filled and then not filled the other side because the lid is in lower level then the way to the other side of the tank is

                          20191225_171423.jpg so now i just have to buy a new hose from filling pipe to tank and new couplings for the lids and put it all back together
