Sure hope your neck continues to improve, Jim. This may be my weekend to remove the top. We are finally expected to see excellent weather.

Thanks Gene...finished therapy, but therapist (doctor) gave me exercises to do for it when I go to the gym. It's simply aging & bad habits: poor posture. Squaring the shoulders, making sure the ears are lined up with shoulders...things you learn when you're in the armed forces (I wasn't) that I need to retrain myself in. It's pinched at C5-C6 and he's helping me work through that.

Weather here is HOT...112 in Phoenix yesterday - broke a record. Supposed to "cool down" to 100 by next Friday. Enjoy your top-down weather.

Filled Bird up early this morning on way home from the m-in-law's...guys at the Costco gas station commented on the car..."what year?"..."she's pretty"...even at her age, she's still got it.

Jim, don't come here if you're looking for a cool spot. It is currently 79 degrees but with 78% humidity it feels like 87. Later when it's 85, it will feel like 95+, but unlike Arizona when the sweat comes it doesn't evaporate it stays on you. I remember being in Scottsdale a few times and even when it's 100, the sweat immediately evaporates and is much more comfortable than when it is 90 here.

But, come the Fall and it is beautiful. October through December is top down weather here.

After owning my LIB for 13 years, I decided it's time to RaggTopp the top. Years ago on this site, someone posted a warning to some other member to fully & carefully mask the glass on all four sides of the car before spraying on the protectant. Then Billy from Louisiana recently posted, again to another member, that a possible way to clean a Light Sand top would be to steam clean it. Strange to say, Shari bought me a little Bissell steamer for Xmas years ago. I never found a use for it, so I but it on a shelf in the garage, where it sat for almost 2 decades. When I took it down, I found on the receipt she had bought it for me in December 2001. Time for me to finally use it. I steamed the top & parked it in the sun for 2 days to dry it, masked the car (see photo), & applied the RaggTopp. Put it out in the sun again to dry & then applied a 2nd coat. Done. Good for another 13 years. ---Will (Uploaded twice. Please excuse.)

bought my 02 bird a month ago it has been rainy but the last 3 days have been beautiful. My 02 is whisper white with the touch red interior. I dropped my hardtop off at an auto body shop I'm getting it painted torch red so it's been top down cruising for three glorious days love this car.
