That’s actually true, Martin. I get my daughter and grandson to pitch in for some nice family bonding. The guy across the street even did a rear fender.

BTW, I refer to that one as “The Boat”.

    • After 45 years the adhesive holding the rear view mirror on the windshield of my 75 gave up the ghost. Picked up some Permatex adhesive at AutoZone and made the repair.

Good to have that rear view mirror when you are cruising down the road in that Boat so you can see the flashing red lights coming up behind you . You don't realize your speed when driving those Birds .

          • Today was not the best. Noticed that I somehow picked up a small crease in the lower portion of the passenger door. First body damage in 17 years. Paint seems OK so perhaps it can just be pulled out.

                  • I now know the idiot that did the deed. It was ME. I must have made the turn into my driveway too sharply and lightly hit the tongue of my trailer. The crease is at the exact same height. I guess it was bound to happen at some point. I have a really good body shop so it will be fixed right.

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!

                      • During a beautiful, sunny, 86 degree F, top down drive along the NH seacoast the odometer clicked over to 19,000 miles. Yikes, racking up the miles - this car won't be worth anything!

(that's supposed to be humorous sarcasm in case you are wondering)

                        • Took the bird into the shop last week and got some new sneakers for it. Went with Pirelli P7 plus2. Also got an alignment, oil change and an inspection. The tires on the car when I bought it 3 yrs ago were all age cracked and I knew all along I'd be buying some tires for it. The old ones were one of the economy brands and worked ok, but I wanted to try the Pirelli's. So far they are quiet, ride maybe a little better and handle well. We've not had much rain and I try not to get caught out in it anyway. These are all season but I'm not out in the winter either. If I get a chance to bend it thru some curves, then we'll see.
When I got it home I was pretty psyched so That evening I went and installed some new(aftermarket) headlight assembles I bought a year or so ago.....what a difference.
