Put the 007 to bed and got the IG out and put the hard top on getting ready for our Georgia Pines yellow pollen season. However if it keeps raining nearly every day it may not be a problem this year.

Since Roxy (my '04 TR) lives in a garage she stays pretty clean most of the time. But today the build up of brake dust on the Chrome 7 spokes had me ouside cleaning them. Lucky for me it is 73 degrees today. The rest of the week has upper 70s and a possible 80 on Friday. Lovin' Charleston, SC!sigpic

March 11th. Yesterday I drove several miles to my favorite liquor store (they give a 10% discount to us Vets). I have been able to take short rides for the past couple of weeks because all the roads are dry with temps in the 30s. Looking forward to taking off the hard top for some top down driving.sigpic

50 degrees here and sunny,so I took the hardtop off, stuffed it up on the ceiling and because there is literally nothing else to do in public went for a 4 hour cruise. the only closeness to people or germs was gettin gas cleaned up after and had a good day in the sun with Terrifigured I needed something here

Decided to get the car checked out before final ESP runs out on 3/27/20. Went to my local garage for an oil change and have the car checked for any leaks or other issues before the final day. Everything looked good but when I tried the AC no cold air. Drove to local Ford dealer and the AC compressor was found to be leaking. Parts were ordered. Since this work order was processed prior to the final day of 3/27/20, the work will be covered no matter when it is finally fixed. The only cost will be my $50 deductible. Good news!sigpic

After 5 years and 7k, miles rotated tires, cleaned the inner fender wells and suspension, (front & rear) checked the brakes, (fronts ready) and went for a drive with the top down. Hardtop has not been off the ceiling in five years.

Had to pull the battery off of the WW yesterday as it was DEAD-DEAD, a boost would not let it start up. It is a Motorcraft battery that is about 3 1/2 years old and a warranty of 8 years plus, so it shuuld be good. I had not started the car in close to 4 weeks so it rebeled against me. Anyway I put the trickle charge on it yesterday and this morning she was all charged up again. Just have to install it and follow the start up procedures mentioned in the owners manual.
The PCR is in my home garage waiting for me to change the DATC, I had started the process a week ago but had to put it aside as I could not get the rubber hoses to come loose. I ordered tools to help me get them off, and when I get the energy I'll go and take care of that. THEN I have to get the PCR over to have the mechanic tell me his opinions on why I am getting a humming noise from my front tires. I think it will be one of the wheel hubs and not the tires which are newer 55's. OH the fun, good timing with all of this COVID-19 running our lives daily.
On the humming noise of the front side I raised the car off the ground and did the movement of wheels/tires and they seem solid but I had read somewhere that the hubs could still be bad.Honor the sacrifices our predecessors paid for our country.
