I think the silver top will look much better than the white. But, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

          • Yesterday on Craigslist I saw a car cover with the latest TBird logo and a description stating it had some stains. The price was a very reasonable mid-double digits. I thought I would inquire and ask for photos displaying those soiled areas and what brand. The response came stating it was a Thunderbird Concepts cover and the stains were inside where the wheels would be. As I have no road trips planned in the near future and the next day (being today) forecast as being a lovely sunny day, I decided to take a 68 mile each way drive to check it out.

I bought it. Unless my eyes have deceived me, it turned out to be an official Ford product with logo, license plate window, mirror pockets, tags displaying 'Ford" and with the Ford part number on it. I am pleased.

Great! Now order these and it won’t blow off.

              • Replaced the Throttle Actuator Control System today after the engine light appeared yesterday. Had two codes come up on the reader of P2110 (System) and P2107 (Processor). Made the purchase this morning and replaced this afternoon. After 76 miles of driving it appears to have satisfied the problems. Pics attached:

The one sitting on top of the engine is the one that was replaced. With the dark circle of crud/corrosion around the inside flange; I'm thinking this could possibly be cleaned and reused so I'll be keeping this as a backup if needed.

                • We cracked the 166K miles mark with a T-bird outing to Guthrie, OK to visit the Oklahoma Territorial Museum and have lunch. We ended up with 8 cars and 16 people. We properly distanced and only had 4 at a table at lunch.

We drove over with the the top down, but 95 degree weather with the sun baring down is not near as pleasant feeling as top up with the a/c on.

A few of us parked on Oklahoma Avenue in Guthrie:

                  • Sounds like you had a nice day. AC is definitely the best way to go.

Later when it's 85, it will feel like 95+, but unlike Arizona when the sweat comes it doesn't evaporate it stays on you. I remember being in Scottsdale a few times and even when it's 100, the sweat immediately evaporates and is much more comfortable than when it is 90 here.

But, come the Fall and it is beautiful. October through December is top down weather here.
118 degrees here right now, Cal. I'm in the back yard barbecuing...thinking of jumping into the BBQ to cool off.

I hereby agree to never complain about the heat here.

                        • After Isaias passes by us on Monday, I'll let you know if it's any cooler. The one thing we get from all these fall storms is rain, which y'all would like to get. If only we got it a little slower so our storm sewers could handle it, and without the wind!

We definitely need the rain. Our "monsoon" season, which normally develops in late June, has yet to manifest itself. We had one day of sprinkles, but no rain. In northeastern Arizona in the forests, the rains have not produced what is needed to sustain our forests. Strange weather these last couple of years.

Well, at least your weather produces moisture. Mark Twain once stated, "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes (and it will change)." So far, no change here...just really hot and dry.

This morning was headlight restoration time. Are they perfect? No! Are they better? 100%! Now I think I'll look for some new bulbs that will improve the lighting much more.

Well done! I used a very similar kit, Ted, on our 2010 Edge's headlights a few years ago (Phoenix sun is tough on the headlights)...it worked out really well. Stayed "clean" for quite a while...eventually sold it to our son for his family.
