    • FINALLY got Susan to stay home long enough for a cruise in 'Ol Thor yesterday evening. Drove top-down on country roads to Duncan Falls, came back up along the Muskingum river, cut cross-country to our favorite pizza place, Creno's, and brought home some Italian subs. A much needed mental re-alignment time for us both. Sunny and low 70's were nice, Alvin Lee rockin' the soundwaves.

      • On 19 years ago yesterday (11/6/2001) I drove our 2002 Tbird off the dealer's lot. Took it out today for a little exercise and it still runs great after 19 years and 106,000 miles.

          • Gave the 007 keys to our daughter for the day. She took a ride to Seaside Heights to walk the boardwalk and watch the ocean. While there, she spotted a top down bronze parked on the street. She brought it home washed with a full tank of premium. Tomorrow is day one of her new position at Abbot Labs. I’m so happy for her.

                    • Just yesterday I was telling my wife, Barbara about a Swedish diplomat named Raoul Wallenberg and how he saved so many Jews during the Nazi years. I can't remember what country he was in at the time. The story I heard was that he obtained Swedish Passports so the fortunate ones could get away. The Nazis were intent on gathering them up and either killing them immediately or working them to death in their Concentration Camps. There is a street near my home in Charleston named after him, Raoul Wallenberg Boulevard.

I’m sure that there are many streets named for him. We have one nearby in Trenton, NJ. I believe there is also a movie about his story.

                        • As much as I love the look of the porthole top, today is the reason I don't always put it on in the winter. You have to love a 70 degree day in December. Rosetta and I decided to cruise around town for about an hour and a half, checking out our old neighborhood, looking at some new ones and poking around downtown and the university. Even though we live in a small town, there a many places we don't get to very often.

Here's a pic from today in front of the university event center:

                            • Grandson and I had the day together and we took a little ride to Northlandz. This place holds the Guinness record for world’s largest miniature railroad. It took about two hours to walk through the layout. They had 68 trains running at the time. The modeling is incredible. Anyone interested in modeling should drop in if you get near NJ.

                              • That is some incredible modeling on that layout! Is the roller coaster part of the running layout Gene? I'd love to see that running!

I started sorting out a lot of the parts I've been "squirreling" away to see exactly what I have, last year was a bust and didn't do much at all to the car so I'm hoping for a better season this year.
