  • Went to lunch yesterday with our Atlanta Classic Thunderbird Club, driving our Inca Gold. We were really surprised to see another one pulling in the parking lot. There were about 15 thunderbirds there and two were Incas. The other was a new member of our local club that bought their Inca last summer. We told them about TBN.
This was our first "in person" lunch we've had in over a year and we felt that 30 people (all vaccinated) was a good turnout.

    • Put in a new Die Hard battery in (old one just wouldn't hold a charge). 'Took the old one to Advanced Auto and they asked if I had a receipt? Receipt? You mean that heat sensitive slip of "paper" printout? No, they fade after. 6 months. OK, no problem. They handed me a new battery, no charge, saying it was still under warranty. How could I argue with that?

After removing the spare tire, dusted and waxed the spare tire well, new battery installed and ready for Spring Driving Time.

Not sure how that looks. Is it anything like an Audi TT?

          • Car Show this evening at Yesterday's in Bridgeport, Texas. We took the Inca gold. Got there late enough to park right in front of the announcer's stand. Nice place to be but I didn't see many checking our car's number and didn't make the top 30 in the show that we know of. I did get pics though and also spotted a 66 Thunderbird in Ember Glow paint. Beautiful color. oh, and a nice yellow and white 1956 Mercury. A 2008 Corvette parked behind us. George talked with the owners and they said they had won a "wrap" for their car at another show so they had a full wrap done on the vette, including under the hood and anywhere paint showed on the car. It was a glowing color, beautifully wrapped.

                    • We had lunch with Liz today and picked up Ron’s Neiman Marcus that my sister bought. She is flying in from Oklahoma this week end to take it home. At least it’s staying in the TBN family. It was really good to see Liz.

It was great seeing Ray and Sharon. I'm happy that Ray's sister will be driving the NM. A little piece of my heart goes with each one of Ron's Thunderbirds that are sold. I miss all of my TBN family. Hope you all are well.
Take care till we meet up again,

We should be Ford people since our Dad sold them,
but all of us together can't equal Ron's collection!!
