is there a decal for this unique 11th gen Bird club

  • #2
Nope. I would guess that at least 50% here have well over 100,000 miles. Good idea though.
Unbelivable TBN trips including ALL of the lower 48 States plus 9 Canadian Provinces, 8 European Countries, 3 Caribbean Countries, Countless National Parks and have attended well over 100 TBN Events since 2001 and counting. Best of all ... fabulous friends.

There is a dash plaque for this exclusive club:

      https://www.thunderbirdnest.com/foru...rty-eight-club

You've got some work to do.

We only need 9 states (on opposite ends of the country) to have a triple 48. If life ever get back close to normal, we might try to make it happen.
      21 years, 174K miles, 48 States X 2 & DC, 9 Canadian provinces, 8 European countries, 3 Caribbean Islands, 3 Hawaiian Islands, 100+ National Park locations, 150+ T-bird events, 190+ retrobird diecasts/models, 13 TOTM pics & some very special friends...THANKS TBN !

It's long been a badge of honor on TBN for a car and owner(s) to have visited all of the 48 contiguous states. We've had 17 different cars claim that honor in the 18 years of TBN being an online retrobird community.

As of now our car is the only one that has done it twice. We only need visit 9 more states again to complete it for the 3rd time.

We have one member that has done it once in 3 different retrobirds and is hoping to do it in a 4th next year.

We also have one Canadian member that has completed all 48 as well.

If you read the thread I referred to you'll see how the process has worked out over the years.

It's just another fun way to enjoy your car.

David answered him in post #2. You gotta read, Greg.

It would be a cool thing if someone with graphics skills could take on the project. 100K, 200K, 300K would be nice.

I wonder how many original owners fit in here.

I have noticed that the number of original owners is getting smaller. We second and third owners are starting to out number the original owners.

Probably true. We original owners had the benefit of that showroom smell.

After thirty-one years in the assembly division, the thrill of that new car smell wore off.

Depends on what city the showroom was in .
