My daughter backed the car out of the garage, started running rough, then died. Would not restart. Will turn over but won't fire.
When I turn the key I can hear what sounds like the fuel pump clicking from behind the seats, but not the familiar "whirrrr" of fuel pump. (Note, I think this is the version that still had the one pump). So my guess is it is getting power but the pump may be done. Pretty good basic skills, but watched a couple of videos and not interested in ripping apart the whole back of the car so will take to proper mechanic.
Before I do, just wanted to check with the community of anything else I should check. Here are assumptions so appreciate you telling me if wrong as I can then check.
* Fuse: Pump would not click over if the fuse was blown.
* One Pump: Since only hearing one click, could there be a second pump and that fuse is blow? Series Parallel? Does is matter.
* Fuel Filter: Possible, but seems that would have cause more gradual issue that just stopping.
I did check the filler cap and don't smell any fuel, etc. in engine compartment.
Thanks again for the help. Wife loves her bird and would like to get back on the road in the best weather time period for us.
