Again the check engine light is on display

    If the check engine light pops up again I will do so , is a frustrating thing to have a car that runs with no issues and this light shows up , at the moment is off , lets see what happens , I thank to all that have posted for the good points .

      I had a similar problem, replaced the gas cap and the problem was solved. Earl

        So now it is off and I have to ask; How did it turn off ?? What changed??

          On my last episode , when tested it read no code and the shop was able to to turn it off

              As mentioned previously , I had this problem when I first got our '03 Bird . " Check engine " light would come on on occasion . So I checked the engine , fluids etc. , and all seemed o/k . After some time, I noticed that on start up I was getting a slight puff of smoke at the rear . this made me check the O2 sensors , cleaned them or replaced them ( can't remember ) . but no more problem . Remember reading or hearing , at the time that when you get this light, with no codes , after about 4 or 5 starts it eliminates the light automatically . Hope this helps .
