That's probably about as early as any of the 2002's were built Lon. I would guess the first month of production?

I had to check as the door date is not very accurate. I have access to the data files. Yes, yours was scheduled to be bucked in June but something happened and it was sidelined. Maybe the color? Others in your timeline were finished July 21 but none yellow, so yours has a build date(completed build) of Aug 5, also the day it was released for shipping. You know the rest of the story of it's delivery, return and re-release.

Now I have to go and find my label. Car picked up in 2002 August. Need to find Birthday.

Here's the scoop on yours. not as neat as quickdraw would put it but it has some unusual info in it:

Ordered by dealer 1/8/2002 but
not vinned until 6/27/2002! (wonder what the hold up was on that! Have my suspicions though.)
Bucked (put on line) 8/15
Built: 8/15
released for shipping 8/16
at dealer 8/21 (in Lincoln, NE)
sold 8/23

I've never looked at the data in the file like this before. I was so used to the early birds taking so long to get thru builds and here yours, a year later, goes through the line in one day! and Lon's car spent almost 6 weeks getting thru the line when his was "bucked". That does correspond with what I was seeing on data on the internet about how many were being built each day by the summer of 2002. The "line" had become "well-oiled" by then. Will have to check mine now. It may have been on a well-oiled path, too.

I'll have to dig out my book with all the paper work. I have OASIS print out with the June build date and also the rail shipping documents. Car sat at railhead in Amarillo as had a hold put on it due to Hydraulic Fan Pump issue. Sat couple weeks and then was put on a Hadley Transport truck and shipped back to factory. Bill Greene's car was also on the same truck. Have pictures of car on loaded Hadley Transport truck.

When car was railed back to Amarillo the OASIS report now showed a different build date. So I have documentation showing two different build dates.
