  • Time For Hardtop Removal

I had to go the the VA hospital yesterday for my second shingles shot. It's about 25 miles from the house. With Rosetta busting up her knee last month, I haven't had time to get the bird out on nice days, so I took the opportunity to give it some exercise.

We put the hardtop on this winter just for a change, but with temps in the mid 60s I'm going to have to get the son over here to get it off - sooner, rather than later.

Anyway, I took the opportunity to take a few last pics in Honor Heights Park with the hardtop on before getting her back to the convertible mode. Unfortunately, its too early for the azaleas the park is known for, but I did catch a few trees starting to bud out.

I agree with Earl...that's one beautiful car. Love the contrasting black hardtop.

Still a few feet of snow up my way, it will be at least another month before mine comes out of storage.

Beautiful pictures Paul... I need to get the hard top off the Dusk Rose soon, might be a task for me since I don't know who I will get to help do it, I have plenty room to store it just no candidates that can help get it off. By the way, I got my second shingles shot last week on Thursday, does your shot affect you, my first and second just knocked me out, all I wanted to do for 3 days was sleep, sleep and sleep. Thats not so bad, nothing like the Covid vaccine. Give Rosetta a hug for me.

Currently 30 degrees here. No top down driving here for a good while. Usually occurs around May 1st.

The shingles vaccine is pretty tough. Both shots gave me the most sore arms of any vaccine I've ever had. I had chills the following night after the shingles shot, much like I did after the covid vaccine. Seems to be a thing with me these days.

Wish we were closer - would be glad to help you with the top.

We both need to get ours. The doctor warned us that they can be tough. Apparently Medicare only pays for getting it at the pharmacy.

I agree the shingles shot was tough but not nearly as bad on me as the Covid vaccine, that one was terrible. I did talk to Rosetta, she was telling me what a rough time you had. Hope you feel better soon.
