  • Digital rearview mirror / dashcam

    Hello

I am wondering whether someone has experience with a digital rear-view mirrors such as: https://www.amazon.com/WOLFBOX-G850-...0B3T76FHM?th=1

Is there an access from the trunk to rear license plate to run the camera wire?

    Thanks

I had a rearview camera installed on both of my Thunderbirds. The camera is connected to a rearview mirror that the installer said was a Toyota rear view mirror. It is a natural spot to look at when the car is in reverse and you see the image in the left side of the mirror, small but effective. Any custom sound installer can wire it for you and they know the route from the license plate location to the rear view mirror. I paid about $500 all in both times.

        Hi, Reza,

I had the radio taken out of my T-Bird and replaced with a BOSS video-screen installed in its place. It's a combo radio, rearview camera, and it connects to my smartphone, so that anything on the phone is visible up on the screen.

Also, I replaced the rearview mirror with one that displays either the left or right rear of the car when the directional signal is on. It can show a full mirror shot of either or a split screen of both. The sideview cameras are installed under the side mirrors of the car.

So I'm sure whatever you want to do can be done. But I'm not technical at all, so I had to have it all done by a professional installer. It cost me a little over $1200 for everything. I don't know if that's a good price or not, so shop around. Maybe, you can get a better price. Or if you can do it yourself, that would be even better. But I think your question was about whether or not this was possible. So I just wanted to let you know what I did because I think that's what you might also want to do.

          Hello

Appreciate everyone's response . Interesting options others have tried. I will keep digging a bit more to see what other options might be available.
