  • Plastic protectors that hardtop sets on

Where can I get another set of the plastic strips that you stick to the body to protect the finish where the hardtop rests? I used my last set. They came in a set in a leather-like case. 2005 Cashmere. Thanks!

Does anyone know if refills are available?

XPEL made a very affordable kit that many here have used. Their phone is (210) 678-3700. Their website never did describe the kit correctly, they called it a "convertible top protector kit" but the sketch of the kit showed the correct three pieces. Looking at their website just now they incorrectly show a wide, one piece item.

Before XPEL had the kit I bought some of the XPEL "tape" and cut my own strips. I did have the original Ford strips (never installed) to use at a template so that made it easier. Just a possible alternative if needed.

WOW!!!!!!! the price is ridiculous. In previous years I found from reading articles/forums that you can make your own protection strips from various foam or window weather proofing products.

I just used electrical tape . Comes off easy when top removed and throw away .

Might be cheaper to buy a hardtop from me, I normally include free hardtop protection strips
