  • LED Headlight Conversion Question

I know a number of members have replaced their factory headlight bulbs with LEDs.What was the process and what is the LED model number and source.
and any other information about the process you would like to share. My fancy headlight conversion 10 years ago developed corroded relays and last weekend I replaced with stock units.
    I need more illumination.

Purchased Sylvania LED bulbs at Auto Zone and had them installed by TBN's top road crew David-Paul-and Bill.

              I highly recommend the Sylvanias

Speaking about headlights, does anyone know if the low beams stay on when you go to high beams? Our 2014 Fusion and 2018 F-150 both do.
Not so in our Bird. Another FEM issue??

Also, if replacing bulbs with LED's be sure to check beam alignment. I have heard of a lot of these replacements glaring oncoming drivers because alignment had changed.

I have a simple way to solve all of the problems. Just stay stock. If you can’t see at night slow down and get your eyes examined.

These are the lights VM had installed, or at least the only LED ones at Autozone for TBird:
                    https://www.autozone.com/collision-b...ht/1150894_0_0

They're said to be for offroad, and only for fog/low beam.

Questions for vintage merlot: Are oncoming drivers flashing their lights at you? Do you have both high and low beam lights now? Is the light cooling fan noise noticeable? Have you had any codes thrown?

A quick review on these headlight bulbs I installed back in May. Took about 10 minutes per side following the directions given. After a quick trip to my repair shop to get an alignment, I found them to be a big improvement over the Sylvania Ultras I was running. Plenty of light for night driving
