                I never would have guessed that. I was looking and thought "answer 71" or Anne's R71", figured it was not those, and finally gave up. I'm usually very good at figuring out what vanity plates mean, but this one stumped me.

                  Actually, the U2 is still flying and never was replaced.
                  Also note that the SR71 reference plate adds boo-koo horse power to the applied vehicle.

                    I had it dynoed before and after………….250 vs 875 at the rear wheels ;-)
