Looks good Bob, how difficult was it to make?

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!

That's the best looking mod I've seen, Bob, nice work. How does it work out at highway speed?

The top modification looks superb. The locking pins on either side should provide sufficient contact to stabilize the top at speed. It certainly makes the top removal
more like a one person job!
Let us know if there ae any buffeting that occurs and at what speeds.

If it turns out to be unstable you can add a cross-bar and make it a T-Top

Or a piece of a soft top material that would be removable yet be able to stow it in the trunk when removed.

You'd have to include a cross bar above the sun visors to lock into place at the corners, then a rigid lock onto the shopped top. It could get complicated.

When parked you can tip it forward a bit but when driving its rock solid since the wind keeps it in place. I may adjust the tension on the handles

Worst case, remove the back glass to eliminate wind pressure. I would be concerned about the rear hold down pins letting go as highway speeds and the top blowing off.

That’s what duct tape is for.

Since it's just a prototype it is trimmed out with black duct tape

But if you take off the back glass, rain could get in......
