2005 Passenger Side High Beam Not Functioning

On my 2005, the passenger side high beam is not functioning, but low beam works fine.
I replaced bulb and still not working.
I checked wiring voltage and the same wire is always hot.
Does the Front ECM only switch the grounds?
Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what problem might be with your high beam, but yes, this car is switched ground for most if not all things.

A low beam out is somewhat common for the FEM so a highbeam wouldn't surprise me. If you send me your FEM I can test it free of charge. If it's causing your highbeam issue it would be part of our 400 rebuild service

I had my money on the FEM as well. It controls all sorts of things.

I would take Brad's offer for testing the FEM and the rebuild if needed. Very fair price.

I had the same problem and did the same things you did. I second the FEM testing as the best route. You need to join our North Texas Vintage Thunderbird club here.

This is a b.... To remove the FEM out of its position. I have the 3 nuts and one bolt out and the the bottom connectors off BUT the FEM will not maneuver out of its position. The long body bolts will not let me leverage it or wiggle it out. FRUSTRATING...
My only option right now I think is to cut one of the body bolts off and then maybe that can give me a little more wiggle room down there to remove it.
I had to remove it as my passenger side low beam has gone kaput.
HEHE--- It sounds so simple to remove when you look at the videos and believe me it's nowhere near there!

Sometimes a junction block on the adjacent floorboard is in the way, remove the 2 nuts and move it out of the way ( no need to disconnect the wires), and I'm sure you already have the battery disconnected. It needs to come straight out, wiggling will jam it in place. Try a plastic pry tool on the back

My 20 something son removes them in about 10 minutes

Thanks, that did the trick. Once I removed the adjacent junction box I was able to remove the FEM straight back. Now all I have to do is figure out how to disconnect the tan plug from the side of the FEM. I see from pictures that only the top part comes off but at moment that is giving me HELL also. I normally am very good at these things, but this operation is giving me pains. Great to share knowledge on this forum........
