  • South Carolina retrobird clubs

I have owned my 2004 for about one month. I am trying to determine if there are any clubs in South Carolina. I have seen info on the CTCI (?) site re: classic t-bird clubs in SC but they are inactive. Hoping to start a club soon if there isn't one. Also hoping to find a good means of contacting/discovering other retrobird owners. Any help?

Good luck Russell. I helped start a club 8 years ago in The Villages here in Central Florida. We now have about 90 rather active members...we are mostly CTCI members too...

Russell, Welcome to Thunderbirding! We have owned 13 Thunderbirds over the years and are on our 5th “retro” Thunderbird, a 007 James Bond Edition. You will get lots of looks when you drive your ‘Bird everywhere. Suggest you check out the Vintage Thunderbird Club International (VTCI). They accept ALL YEARS of Thunderbirds. Their website is: www.vintagethunderbirdclub.net. They have many local chapters all over the world. Not sure where in South Carolina you live, but there is a chapter in north Georgia called the
North Georgia Vintage T-Bird Club. Their contact information is: Cookie Barnes, email is: northgeorgiatbirds.com. Hopefully they have events near your area. The VTCI also has a Facebook page that you can find in groups. Happy T-Birding.

Good God Greg, how old are you? Seriously, Russell, this is a great place to reach people. Tell us about your bird’s color etc. Welcome to TBN!

Theat must have been pretty cool, but I sure would not have wanted to drive a beautiful car like this into that part of Florida in 1936.

Russell if you wander over to New Orleans at the end of September you can meet quite a few of our members. See whether this event sounds interesting.
