Currently, eBay has four Manage the Wait full sets, two listed at $250, one at $700, and one at $999.
One set sold on Aug. 2 for $499.99 with a red die cast in #4 box.
'Just depends on which way the current winds blow, I guess.

I saw them too; couldn't figure out whether those plaques were already carved with the owner's name and VIN number.
Even if the plaques were to be "blank", replicating the specific font on the plaque to personalize one will be a whole different challenge.

Only thing that came in the kit was a cardboard replica like posted in the first post of this thread. You filled out and sent in an application, then the completed plaque was returned in the mail.

The sets on Ebay if "complete" have the cardboard replica and application. If the application is gone the first owner probably has the plaque.

Thanks for posting that, Bob. It's been so long ago, I definitely didn't remember what it looked like.

It would be interesting to know how many people sent in for theirs.

I echo Paul's sentiment. Thank you.
I would be curious to know how many of those plaques are left-over, sitting somewhere collecting dust at Ford.
They could improve brand recognition and loyalty if they cater to collector and restoration enthusiasts.

The address on the return glassine envelope (with 50 cent stamp) is
                Thunderbird Program Headquarters
                P.O. Box 3757
                Highland Park, MI 48203
so it might have gone to a subcontractor instead of Ford directly for the plaques to be processed.
It might be worth an inquiry to anyone working with that part of the program at the time.

                  Thank You !
I will mail them an inquiry today.

A high level search failed to reveal any additional information such as a phone number.

Sent. Lets see whether anyone checks that P.O. box 22+ years later.

I also picked up a mailing address from an ebay picture associated with the program. Google shows a marketing company at that address. I will send them one too just in case.

At the very least it will make someone in a different timezone smile

Had anyone gotten one of these back in the day? I'm curious about creating one for my own car, unless of course,
I can mail in the application now.
                      Thank you.

Afraid you can't still get one.... I tried to get one for my 2002 in December 2002 while i still worked at Ford but the P.O. box was closed.
