  • Anyone recognize these promotional boxes/materials?

My dad passed away a couple years ago and had an 02 tbird. We’re going thru some of his old stuff and he had these thunderbird promotional materials that I was hoping someone could give me some information about.
Theres 3 or 4 black boxes with magnetic covers. One has a metal tbird window standee, there’s some books and flyers in another one etc. Another box has a small red diecast car etc.
if anyone recognizes them and can tell me what they are called, if they’re worth anything etc any help would be appreciate thanks! (Photos below)

I'm sorry to hear about your father, Robert. The first picture with stand alone portholes are bookends, you can find like ones on Ebay. Here is one for an example:

Called a "Manage the Wait" box set. Dealers gave the boxes out individually while the buyers were waiting for their cars to be made and delivered.

Others here could offer more details than I can.

Sorry about your father. It's so hard to lose a parent.

As mentioned the black boxes were the "Manage the Wait" program Ford used to sooth the anxiety between order and delivery of a 2002 Thunderbird. There were 5 boxes in the set. All 5 together is probably the only way they have much value. Barring that, the box with the bookends and the box with the diecast are worth a little money. One of 5 colors of diecast were shipped, depending on the color of the car ordered. The white diecast is probably the rarest of the colors.

The silver boxes were press kits that were given to the media at major car shows. Again all 5 colors were available. These have generally sold for $50 - $100 if in good condition.

The Taking Flight folder was a learning aid for salesmen and to be used to interest the customer if need be. The postcard was just a giveaway for car shows and dealers.
