  • Keep Your Bird Warm

It is freezing as far south as here in Covington, La. So hope all of you are safe and warm wherever you are. Might be a good idea to keep the birds under cover and in the garage!

Mine is wearing her blanket, sitting in a dedicated spot in a climate controlled parking / storage year long; she is totally spoiled.
    Hope everyone is keeping warm.

Mine was an everyday driver in PA for over three years when new. It saw rain sleet and snow, no big deal.

Well the National Weather Service says that it is currently 39 degrees in Covington. That’s a balmy day compared to the 27 here in Lawrenceville NJ. Our current “feels like” temperature is 14 thanks to the wind. But yes, my bird is well protected and the’75 big bird is being sold to someone in Texas. Hopefully it will be warmer there. In the meantime there’s ice forming on the lake so we can go skating.
(BTW I no longer skate as a fall would do me in)

The bird remains outside, Billy, where it can continue to commune with the weather spirits. Thanks for sharing some winter warming cheer.

Forecast is for 26 degrees tonight, but today was 52 and sunny so I took the bird, hardtop on for the winter, out for a spin. She ran great and as always, got several nods and waves at the red lights.

So the temperature when I awoke was a scorching 2 degrees. Plan to stay inside for a while. The 1975 was picked up yesterday by the tow truck. The driver who spoke no English had to be shown how to start it. It’s going to be a fun trip.

39 when I took the dog out at 7:30 this morning. Will be in the 70s next week after we get through this dip in the jet stream.

10 degrees in Covington this morning. 10" of snow yesterday, most since 1895. High today of 30 and back in the teens tonight. Black ice a major concern on roads, all interstates still closed. Roads not expected to open till late Friday. Covington was colder than Billings, Montana this morning! What a mess.
