I drove my first Bird a year ago from National Rental...it was a 2004 red Bird and my first thought was "Where is the "thunder" in this "Thunder"bird? Now that I just bought a 2005 it too is "whisper quiet". I would like to add the "Thunder" back to the Bird. Are there any sound bites out there where I can hear the various exhaust options for the '05 Bird?

Also, does changing the exhaust void the warranty?

I was just on the Borla website and they don't show Borlas available for the '05 Bird. Do I need a special kit for the '05? Where can I get a kit that will fit. I will install them myself.

Tony, Please go to the Borla Price Increase thread and starting reading around post # 239. Pay particular attention to the JimDube posts and how he installed Borla's on his 05 Bird. Jim has helped all 05 owners to understand that Borlas will fit their 05 vehicle. There is no special kit needed, it is as simple as making a slight bend to the heat shield. If you are still interested in obtaining Borlas for your car ($715 plus shipping), post your interest on that thread and I will respond to you there. Thank you.

Jerry, I don't get your post. Noone in TBN (or TBT or TBF for that matter) is being forced to join our Borla Club. I have a list of names of many Borla owners who have not yet signed in, (for whatever reason they have their reason for not signing in) maybe further down the line I will contact some of them and ask them to join us. This club is purely voluntary (just like the trunk mat club) and will always remain that way. It's fun, it gives people a reason to post and hopefully they will visit other threads while they are here and begin posting again. I hope that answers your "X" question.

Hi there Mark! There is a definate difference in sound. You would hear the difference from silence to a nice loud purr. Unfortunately the sound bite that Borla used to carry on their web site is not working, at least it has not worked for me in the last two days. You might want to put Borla Price Increase into the search engine located at the top of your screen and visit that thread. Lots of folks have posted some good information in there that might help you with your decision. FYI, the Borla's are discounted at $715 plus shipping for TBN members only. You must have a password to purchase the Borla's at this discounted price. If you are interested in Borla's, just post on the Borla Price Increase thread and I will respond to you there. There is a very limited number of Borla's available at this time, I don't know that Borla will ever supply them to us again after this shipment is gone.

Ok Jerry, No problem with your question at all.
That is what I also would like to find out. I know there are many more Borla owners out there that I don't have on my list, those who purchased from different venders. It would be easy enough to go thru all the threads to pull up the names, I just wanted to make it a voluntary thing. When owners buy Borla's they automatically become a member of our Borlas Club, but I would just like to give all a chance to post their name here and find out if they are satisfied with the sound. I also know that some signed into TBN just to obtain the discount and have not been seen since their purchase, which is a shame because this club has much more to offer than a discount on Borlas.
Hopefully we will see more of our Borla owners checking in soon.
