Used Borla system on Ebay for 2002 to 2005 Tbirds. Item # 120310529343. 3 days left. Leroy
I don't believe there is a single Borla system that works on all years... there are some differences depending on the model year. I'd verify that it will fit your specific car.
Do you know the difference between education and experience?
Education is when you read the fine print; experience is what you get when you don't.

There is a Borla system that fits only 2002 models, and there's a system that fits 2003-2005 models.
Are there any draw backs to installing the Borla exhaust system? Seems people talk about melting the rear bumper cover.
If you place anything hot directly on or against the body of the car, of course it will melt. If installed correctly, no, there is no way you will see any melting. There are a few hundred Thunderbird owners with Borla's on our cars, trust us....your car bumper is not going to melt.
Definitely Julie knows Borlas... trust me... she was a great help when I looked for advice a couple of months ago. And when I had my Borlas installed, my mechanic said the systems are fitted so precisely, any competent installer could not screw up the installation.
It's the old saying, you get what you pay for, and Borlas are absolutely worth EVERY penny. (Yes, it takes a few pennies to buy one, but you will not be disappointed.)

I contacted the seller as to why he was selling, why he took the Borlas off his Bird, and how many miles were driven with them. Here's his answer (is he a TBN member?)
"Because my girlfriend is coming to more car shows and weekends with me and she does not like the sound. And we know who the boss is. I would say there about 5000 to 7500 miles on them this is not a daily driver

While at our Tidewater TBN meeting on Sept 19, John Ruffner (PCR) loved the sound of my Borlas on Moondoggie. Theron Koon called me this evening to tell me John had Borlas installed on his Bird yesterday! Nothin' like a great recruiting effort!

You can spend $700.00 or more if you want to, but I think it's a waste of money. To get an even better sounding exhuast just eliminate the two resinators with a piece of pipe. You use your original exhuast tips and any reliable muffler shop will do it for about $100.00. And down the road if you want to reinstall the resinators, it's not a big deal. Since taking these pictures I've extended the exhust tips farther out and it looks alot better and cuts out the little bit of drone sound inside the car. I've had my car in two local car shows so far and the sound of the exhuast has been very well recieved. One guy had me start it up and he called his Son in Florida on a cell phone so he could hear it. Leroy
