Wixon Windshield Sticker

[THHNDR]

I was at an event recently and noticed that about half the cars did not have a windshield sticker indicating the location of manufacture. Talking to the other owners, their car never had this sticker. I know all Tbirds were built @ the Wixon plant. Is there any significance as to the presence, or lack of this sticker?

The window sticker tells you what were the options and what the standard equipment was on your particular car. It's evidence and interesting reading, the older the car gets. For our era t-birds , the differences are small but for some older models of Thunderbirds, those stickers are the proof that the car came with a turbo charger or a big engine with multiple carbs, or even a super charger.

For our era t-bird, they're proof that the car may be a special edition or has a particular interior or came with a particular set of wheels. Right now it's not much of an issue as most have not done interior or exterior changes or engine changes but down the line, it'll become more important for the owner to have that sticker as more extensive mods get done to these cars. When you sell your car, it's an added sales gimmick that the prospective buyer will look for.

THHNDR are you talking about the small oval sticker that says Wixom on it? If that is what you are talking about we have one on the bottom right of the windshield.

Kangacay, I think you're correct about the sticker he's talking about. guess I didn't read his question thoroughly.
I don't think that sticker was on the 02s. Not sure when it started appearing.

I noticed it first on the 05's, the Cashmere car had a different on, the others had the same one as the Lincolns.

Yes, it is an oval Ford sticker indicating Wexon Plant. I think I saw it on a 04 as well.

The sticker is on my 04 Raven too ... It was a nice surprise that the dealer or the previous owner hadn't removed it.

It was on our 04, but when we had to have the windshield replaced, could not save the sticker. It is not the heavy material like some press on's, more like the easily damaged tamper proof things. There was a thread about this ~ a year ago, think it even had a picture of the sticker.

I think I'll take the sticker from the Escape and move it to the Bird, that'll get me a couple more grand at resale, LOL.

i have the window sticker.....final assembly point was at the WIXOM factory.

Window sticker price was $43,535.00

worth ever penny....
