How old is the battery. I had the door lock problem, replaced the battery and problem was fixed.

Disconnecting the battery (usually for 30 minutes) will reset the electronic modules. You may also have a bad module or actuator as you first suggested.

Good luck and welcome to TBN.

Don't got tearing any Door Panels apart - Ditto on Battery disconnect or possible replacement (many Threads on this) - 2002 w/54K Miles I say early Cops failing (2002's not immune, I just had that at 47K Miles) but hesitation possibly Voltage related also - Wifey needs to buy you a Code Reader for late Valentines Gift - Fuel Filter is behind Wheel WELL Cover - & Welcome to The Boards.

I was referring to only to the door lock portion of the problem. If it's both doors, it's most likely not an actuator.

The first suspect for the hill problem is a bad coil(s).
