    Re: Tbird damage repair

I guess all states have different rules for what is covered and what is not. In PA we have a choice in the deductible for glass etc. I chose a $0 deductible which cost about $100 more a year than other options. This coverage was for two cars, Thunderbird and Explorer. Unfortunately the Thunderbird has had two replacements but in both cases I paid $0 for an exact replacement no questions asked. Because my 2004 had the windshield heat system only used in the 2002, both times it was replaced with that type which is really expensive. Fortunately, I live in a small town where the insurance agent and repair shop work well together. The Explorer also had one replaced as well with the same results.

Charlie, Check out "Grundy". I just changed my Bird over to them. I ran into the same thing with State Farm trying to get my windshield replaced and I had 0 deductible on glass but they wouldn't spring for an original 02 windshield and I had to lay out $250. for it.

I don't qualify for Grundy, don't own enough cars.
