Back in Virgina where vanity plates are used a great deal I had FUN-TIL and most everyone got it.

Here in Washington State, vanity plates are overpriced and so folks do not use them. The FunTil was already taken so I went with

TBIRD42

These folks can not figure it out. I've been asked Wow a 1942 TBird, nice job on the restoration. 42 what, age, years married, graduation year, number of cars I have? They are looking at the car, a 2 seater, and they still can not figure it out. I'm begining to think the techno geeks here in Seattle in the land of Microsoft are not to swift ;-). Or, unless you have a Porche or Mercedes AMG you ain't cool.

Surprised to find it available--I got "TBRDING" on a Virginia tag. As someone previously said, it about says it all . . . . . . still trying to find a good way to fasten a front tag ---- hate to be stopped for not having one and have it turn into a more serious situation . . . . .

Maybe a little hyphen or dot between 42 with a black marker would help.

Mine says whatever the State of FL gave me and I bought a bottle of wine with the $25.00 I saved; actually 2 bottles.

Mine is what the state issued and what I didn't pay for an interesting plate went to the humane society. Times are difficult for the little guys now, the economy has some having to give up pets.

MEXIBIRD. Probably not PC in these days of raging immigration debates, but it's my wife's heritage and culture from way before mexicans were associated with illegal aliens. She's been a citizen for many years and a loyal Ford owner her entire life, beginning with her first car; a Cobra! (Note that the Mexican flag has both a snake and a bird).

We both loved the retro Bird from the first day we saw it in '01, but we lived in Rome, Italy at the time and had to wait until we came home to realize the dream. A few extra bucks for the vanity plates was well worth the investment to make the gift personal.

With such a great car to drive, we need to say something on our plates to show our love for them. What do your plates saw?

Mine is named "T for 2" I love the head turning when I drive the car. Stays in garage except for the best days.

My car tage is "T for 2". White with the red trim options. This car turns heads everywhere it goes, when the top is down. 2002 model year.

SWEET T is a play on words for South Carolina's official drink (sweet tea) and how sweet I think my T Bird is.
