Just got back from local Target and price for the Garmin Nuvi 350 was $499.99 Just my luck.
I'd keep an eye on it, Lon. They will surely start marking them down there soon.
To answer Sally's question as well, I think different store managers use different clearance strategies. Some mark them down slowly hoping to get the most out of the product. Others just want to free up the shelf space and mark them down quickly. If you go to 3 different TARGET stores in the same town you can find 3 different prices on the same item depending on how fast it is being cleared out by the particular store. The probably will honor the lowest price at all 3 but I haven't tried that. The nearest TARGET stores to us are in Tulsa. I might be up there this weekend to check out the buried Plymouth - if so I'll check out the TARGETs and you can be I'll be hoping for a price less than I paid.
I don't know for sure that anyone will ever find one for $125 or so but I'm betting someone will be lucky. I have bought several nice things at TARGET over the years for 75% off. Three that come to mind are a programable thermastat for the house, an under-cabinet radio/DVD player/LCD TV combo for the kitchen, and the HP printer/scanner that I use on my computer.

I took a ride over to the Charleston, SC Target store and found no markdowns on any Garmin items. I have asked my new son-in-law Ardie Ilardi to research and notify me which one I should get. Don't want to get lost trying to pick up George at the Detroit Airport on the 24th. I can't believe MoTown Thunder is so soon. I feel sorry for the folks who are going to miss it, but everybody had a chance. Based on Steve's preliminary indications and the final numbers, this may be the last TBN event in the Motor City, it's sad.

Went to Target's website and found a Garmin Nuvi 330 for $299.99, any good? Was the 350 mentioned on this thread really the 330?
Cal
No, Cal it is definitely the 350. I noticed our local Walmart still has the 350 at $448.96. I'm liking the deal better every day. Anyone else found one marked down locally?

I've been to three of the targets in my area. The price on the shelf is still ~$499 and none of the stores have them in stock - 2 of the 3 stores had model 200s, but no 350s.
Do you know the difference between education and experience?
Education is when you read the fine print; experience is what you get when you don't.
Did you look in the "clearance" section of the electronics department? The GPS units are generally kept in the automotive area (what little TARGET has). The store that I bought the one at still had the sign for $499 in the area where the other GPS units were and there weren't any hanging there. I found the one on clearance in the electronics department near the TVs, radios, cameras, etc. on an end cap with clearance items. It was in a clam shell package hanging on one of those hooks that can be locked.

Yes! The Garmin Nuvi 350 is a great GPS unit. I wouldn't be without one now. I bought one almost 2 years ago and paid around $900.00 Canadian. We really get hosed here in Canada for electronics etc. Now that our dollar is close to $ 0.95 US we will be able to go shopping in the US and take advantage of the stronger Cdn. dollar. I had a vent solenoid replaced last week in my 02 T-Bird and I was charged $88.00 CDN for the part which I could have ordered from directford parts.com for $29.23 US plus shipping which may have been $5.00 max. Makes me want to move to the US!!!
Cars are so much cheaper in the US also. I think we'll see a lot of people going across the border to buy their new cars now.
Take care!

Anyone know anything about a Uniden GPS navigation system with 4inch touch screen LCD? QVC has them for sale right now. My daughter has ordered one for my fathers day gift, but she said they have other brands available also. Don't know the price, I do not shop there. It has not arrived yet and I thought someone might have experience with them. I could exchange it but I don't really like doing that if you know what I mean. However if someone tells me it is not a good unit I would blame it on you, just kidding.
Thanks for any help.

Other than that I am not familiar with the Uniden GPS systems.
Try typing in Uniden GPS reviews on google and you may find some reviews there.
Take care

Boy am I glad I couldn't find that Garmin 350 on sale at Target. I just got a late Father's Day present from the newlyweds. It's a MIO digiwalker, portable GPS system. It works like a traditional GPS navigator but in addition, you can put it in your pocket and take a walk, turn off the sound and find your way back to your hotel. I gotta try it out next week at MoTown Thunder, and on the way, of course!
