    Re: Coker Whitewalls are coming

Hey, Mike - I agree with you. Your Vogues look fantastic! My Diamondbacks are the larger size Goodyear tires, and they look fabulous!!! (Spoken like a proud Mama TBird owner!)

At any rate, I asked him about WW tires for our Birds. His answer was they are currently working on various sizes, (16", 17", 18" and possibly up to 20"), for modern "classics" and are especially aiming at our TBird tire size. They will be available by February, but perhaps as early as this fall.

They will be available in white, white with red-line, white with gold-line, and red-line. One of the major differences between them and Diamond Back is the tires will be manufactured as whitewalls, not notched out and the white vulcanized on. That should make the white much more stable and not susceptible to tearing if curbed.

No price has been set yet, but I'll let you know when I find out. Although I have over 50,000 miles on my whitewalls now, I'm going to wait for his tires for my next set.
David, Have you heard anything new on the Coker tires?

I like the Red Lines ,I think they would look great on my Merlot. If I went the W/W route I'd have to buy wire wheels

I get as many compliments on the WW's as I do on the car. In fact, for my IG, I think the WW's draw attention to the car as a whole.

absolutely, the W/W's look great on our Retro's. The vogues on our Merlot really made a statement about her. Add a redline to that, would be awesome. I wrote to Coker today, and asked them where they stand on this. Got a reply asking me for a link to this site. Soooo, hopefully there is hope. Because although the NM tire tread is still great, they are 6 years old, and she has sat for a long time. I want to put new tires on her, but W/W's. And I don't want to have to have new tires vulcanized to do it.

                  Re: Coker Whitewalls are coming

I just received an email from Coker. They said they don't have any plans to make whitewalls to fit our Birds, but because of some recent interest in them, they are going to look into it. If you are interested in whitewalls from somewhere other than Vogue or Diamondback Tires, send Coker an email.

I, too, have had more compliments than I can count on my whitewalls. (The Neiman-Marcus wheels really do a great job showcasing the whitewalls.)

Dave, looks like you guys have been talking about this! We've gotten 3 requests from yall here today. I found out we are making a 235/55R17, but do not have a 50 series coming out in the near future. But, I will forward these requests to our development team and let them know what you guys are looking for. Thank you,

Okay. Tech question. If the lower the number the wider the tire. Why wouldn't 55's fit on our rims, if they come with 50's.

I'm running 235/55R17's, and they fit just fine, in fact ,they look better than the 50's to me. They are wider and higher than stock.
