      Re: Tires-

Check out the following as well as other suggestions you will get:

      Goodyear F1 All seasons
      Goodyear Response Edge
      Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Poll Position
      Bridgestone Turanza Serenity
      Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 (OEM)

An extremely high rated tire is the new Michelin Premicy but it does not come in the 235/50/17 size. It does come in a 235/55/17 which will fit buy throw your speedo off slightly (will read slower than what you are actually driving).

I'm pleased with my Perelli's, especially since they raise the car up enough that it no longer scrapes bottom when I go over the bumps at the mall.

            Re: Tires-

Don't know which Pirelli tires you might consider. The P-Zeros are great for performance, but the tread life is the pits. Have them on a Jaguar XK8, and the they are gone at 15,000 miles. I would give up a little in performance for a tead life of 30,000 miles. Nothing was out-of-line on tha Jaguar, and the wear is even on all of the tires.

I have 30k on these and I will need new ones in a few months. I will probably go with these again.

I went with the Goodyear Response Edge after putting 57K on the OEM tires.
I think the ride is a little harsher on the Goodyears, but I like the wear # and the tread design.

I've got 60K on my OEM Michelins and have been happy with them. I have the original set still mounted on the original rims and bought a new set and rims at 10K and had them whitewalled. I'm ready for new tires, but at 60K they are still serviceable. I suggest you go with the OEMs again.

                        Re: Tires-

Sometime this summer I'll be getting a new set of shoes for the Bird. Right now this is the tire I'm looking at to replace the OEM Michelins. It's the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 235/50ZR17. This should be a better handling tire then the OEM's but not as good on tread life. The Bird is now a Garage Queen for the most part so I don't have to worry about how many miles the tires will last.

BTW, I have over 55,000 miles on the original tires.
