That looks good on Merlot. I think you should forget about the relay and keep the top for yourself.

Steve Legel generally doesn't take the hardtop off of his car, but maybe he can be persuaded if he gets to wear a white one for much of his trip.

We are willing to help if it comes through Oklahoma. In fact, we'll bring it back to eastern Oklahoma from Desert Thunder II if Nick wants to wait that long. We'll miss being able to drop the top in those 1300 miles but that is a small price to pay to help out a TBN friend.
      21 years, 174K miles, 48 States X 2 & DC, 9 Canadian provinces, 8 European countries, 3 Caribbean Islands, 3 Hawaiian Islands, 100+ National Park locations, 150+ T-bird events, 190+ retrobird diecasts/models, 13 TOTM pics & some very special friends...THANKS TBN !

How about an initial request for volunteers who are willing to do it no matter where they are? Then maybe a run could be put together even if it's a somewhat round-about one.
These relays are a lot of fun and if enough people took part it wouldn't be that painful at the pumps.
So who could/would do it? And when and to where? Weekdays? Weekends?
Thanks Karen, that's a great idea. Get enough people and connect the dots. I can see if I can figure out how to post some type of map with names and locations.
So how about it. Anyone who would like to participate in a hard top relay, please sign on and I will start tracking.

Re: Hard Top Relay - Salt Lake City to Boston

I just heard from Steve Legal and he cannot participate at this time because he does keep his own hardtop on during his trip. But he did say he would be willing to try to participate down the road if it comes through his neck of the woods.

Ah, excuse me ladies, I think that is my top
Vickie, it does give the Merlot quite a different look. Sure looks pretty. The top looks like it could use a good cleaning and a couple of coats of wax don't you think. Gas prices the way they are we don't want a dirty top creating resistance or anything.

That's Google right? Can you keep sticking more pins in it so you have dots all over the map?

Nick it does look pretty. Caught me by surprise this morning when I opened the garage door to go to work.

Oh and the wax.....yeah I'll get right on that. Actually I will probably mother it a bit on Mothers day.

BTW it was great talking to you last night, makes me wish I was closer to the NE group - you all seem to have a whole bunch of fun. Bling King, Trailer Prince, and now Top Lord.

Re: Hard Top Relay - Salt Lake City to Boston

There are five hard tops listed on Ebay this morning. Silver in NC, Red in Tennessee, and Gray in NY. Any would look good on my Red 02 in Ohio. Before I bid on any is there anyone interested is doing a relay from these points? It could be a fun summer project. Please let me know.

I can help out around the Chicago area if needed.

If you can't put this together I shipped a hardtop via Fedex ground and it wasn't nearly as expensive as you might think.
