While I was test driving my bird....all I could think about was Route 66. It's been six years and I haven't done it yet.

Surely, I'm not the only one with that dream. Here's a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Who's on, or wants to be on that route?

Nicky, I've got Microsoft Streets & Trips. I've got it mapped out with the volunteers you already have.....but it's not compatible with TBN. I've got it copied into a Word document....still not compatible. If someone (JAB, poke, poke) has more experience with formats....I can email it to them.

Barbara, I'm right smack dab on Rt. 66 between St. Louis and Tulsa.
Paul, if you get the top I can take it to somewhere in Illinois or maybe to Cincinnati since my best friend lives there (assuming Cincy's on the way).

I'm in if the route goes my way. Can do maybe Jersey to Ct. or something like that. Just let me know, I would be happy to help. Maybe if the time works out I could pick it up somewhere and the bring it up to Thunderama.

With the current participants, the trip is over 5,000 miles.

The biggest gap, and shortest distance would be to get someone that can cover the state of Iowa from west to east.

Just saw this. The direct route would take the top along I-80, right through Nebraska. I'm happy to help. In fact, I may have a trip to Cheyenne, WY coming up sometime this summer. If the top can get to Cheyenne, then I can take it through Nebraska. I can also store it for a while if need be. And no need to worry about me Nicky... I already have a white top! Holler if I can help.

Vickie... that top sure looks nice on your Merlot Bird!
